TextBoxTools Extension

Today I bring to you a new extension that I built with the AppyBuilder CodeEditor.

It allows you to choose between 17 different Keyboard Styles(InputTypes) and allows you to set the maxLength(aka limit the number of characters a user can input) of a TextBox.

A BIG Thank You to my Beta Testers, @Peter and @Gabriel_Egea!

All Blocks

Test it here:

Thank you @Shivendra_Kr_Sahu for this idea!
Once I reach my goal of $25USD, I will release it for free to everyone!
Note: If you have any questions about Crowdfunding, Please PM me.

Well, I reached my goal in 6 hours!

How to check if user has entered only numbers in textbox?
Preformatted string in a textbox

Nice to see @Ken liked my thoughts.
Because the extension developer can get the full of their hard work…
Hopefully the rest extension developer will also like this idea and they will use it in the new extensions of the publications.

Nice extension. Could you please explain, or show blocks, on how I would limit the input to allow only 2 places after hitting the “.” on the number pad? Example, I want to limit the input to two decimal places. I’m making a calculator app and I can’t have the user entering only two digits after hitting the . on the keypad. 123.45, not 123.456. Thanks. I’m using a textbox for input.

Currently limiting the number of places after the decimal isn’t possible with this extension. If you would like to sponsor this or other new features please PM me and we can discuss a price.

alternatively you might want to try the textbox extension and its AfterTextChanged event…
just check, if the format of the input is correct and remove unwanted decimal places…

Is it possible that this extension doesn´t work on Android 6 ?

What kind of issues are you seeing?

see here

During testing we didn’t see any issues with Android 6.

Greetings from Kodular! Love this extension. It helped me a lot.

Hi, is there a textbox for only emojis?

I didn’t see one but I’ll look again when I get a few minutes.

I wasn’t able to figure out a way to force the keyboard to Emojis
