Making a contract to sell an app

Hello. I want to ask the community if someone have sold an app to a company or a business. The problem I have is that a company bought an app and wants the APK, and the Android Studio file, but some of the libraries of the app, can’t be shared.

Does anyone have made a contract or have legal knowlege of what you can do to protect parts of your development???

I would say that their demands should have been made clear before they purchased it.

I have sold several applications and have never given the buyer the source code.
We agree on a price for the application and a price per hour of development after the initial requirements have been met.

I’m not sure on the legal side of things but unless you agreed to give them the source code, I’d say it remains your intellectual property.
